The annual trimming of the front hedge, originally set for this weekend, has been postponed by two weeks after residents of the privet raised concerns about the timing.
The delay was announced after what both sides called productive discussions. Residents argued that moving house in dry weather was “not reasonable,” and asked that the work wait until after the forecast rain.
The new date has not been formally confirmed. Residents said they planned to begin relocating to the lavender border, which several described as “a step up, honestly.”
